“I can sense the cougar’s stopped,” Nicola said in a grim voice. “Should I shoot?”
“Do it,” I replied.
The brunette moved out the doorway just enough to be able to shoot her bow, but I could tell her eyes were struggling to adjust to the dim light. The huge animal remained motionless, though, and when it shifted its head, and its eyes glinted for a moment in the darkness, the dark-haired woman drew back her bowstring and released an arrow in the cougar’s direction.
The sharp projectile unfortunately swished right past the cougar’s shoulder.
“No…” Nicola hissed as her face sank, but she drew another arrow and squinted in the cougar’s direction.
The cougar looked around the grassy field and emitted a low-pitched growl, but then the animal turned its head and looked off toward the woods.
For one brief moment, I thought the animal was going to leave, but then something crazy happened. The cougar began to sprint toward the priestesses, and then it leapt forward through the air and landed on the roof of the living quarters.
“Oh, shit!” I yelled.
“Jack, what is going on?” Penelope whimpered as she gripped Nicola’s arm.
“It’s okay,” I told the naiad. “Just hold tight.”
The beast began to paw at the reeds that thatched the roof, and big chunks of yellowed grass started to fall all over the floor and cover the women’s bedding.
“What next?” Aleia asked as she gripped her weapons tightly and looked up at the shuddering ceiling. “Do you need me to go out there?”
“I think that’s the only way to get it off the roof,” I told the fairy. “And Nicola and Penelope, get down and cover your heads!”
The human and naiad did as I instructed, and Aleia dashed out the door to the living quarters and flew away from the building, well out of the lion’s reach.
The lion stopped pawing at the reeds and screamed when it saw the fairy, but the strawberry-blonde was already fifty feet up in the air.
Aleia turned around and headed back to the roof, and then she swung her sling over her head and shot a rock directly at the cougar. The stone hit the beast in the back, and it let out a low moan and stumbled a little. Unfortunately, the animal quickly regained its footing, but I had an idea.
“Aleia, keep shooting,” I said. “Nicola, Penelope, get your spears ready.”
I was hoping a rock might actually push the lion off the roof, and then the other two priestesses could attack.
Another rock headed toward the cougar, and this time the stone hit the animal directly in the center of its skull.
“Yesss!” Aleia shouted as she swung the sling over her head again.
A third rock hit the cougar in the head for a second time, and I could see streams of dark red blood beginning to emerge from the wound. The animal swayed to the side as if it were drunk, and then it fell over and rolled down the side of the building. Aleia hit the beast in the head one last time once it was on the ground, but it somehow managed to get to its feet.
The lion stumbled about three feet toward the open side of the building, and Penelope and Nicola fired at the same time. An arrow pierced the cougar in its ribs, and the naiad’s spear hit the animal directly in its throat.
The cougar made a loud gurgling sound as a fountain of blood spurted from its neck, and bright red bubbles foamed around its giant mouth as it fell onto its side. The women all held their breaths as the animal’s paws twitched, but then it stopped moving entirely.
“Holy shit,” I gasped. “That was unbelievable. You are all so badass, and you always come through.”
“And look at our prize,” Nicola said as she gazed with pride at the cougar’s body. “Aleia, Penelope, you are amazing.”
“Nicola, what did you mean when you said you could sense the cougar?” I asked. “You seemed to know where it was the whole time.”
“It was so strange.” The brunette shook her head. “I can’t really explain it, other than it was like an image in my mind of its location. Actually, it was a cross between an image and a feeling.”
“That’s awesome,” I replied. Of course I couldn’t tell her that her skills with animals were now at a level ‘5,’ but I knew this explained it. “Nicola, you’re so gifted. You all are.”
“Aleia is always so brave,” Penelope chimed in. “She flew out there on her own and wasn’t scared at all.”
“No, I was scared,” the fairy laughed. “I was definitely frightened.”
“Well, you didn’t show it,” the naiad responded as she patted the other priestess on the back.
“What do we do with the cougar?” Nicola asked. “Do we leave it here overnight?”
“Since you can’t butcher it right away, you’re going to want to bleed it,” I explained to the dark-haired woman. “Have you ever done that before?”
“Yes,” the brunette said with a twitch of a proud smile and a nod. “Although, it has been a while. I believe I’ll want to use my dagger to cut it into the furrow between its chest and its throat, and then we can hang it upside down. It will help the body cool faster, and there will be less of a chance of the meat spoiling.”
“That’s exactly right,” I praised Nicola. “You have a real talent for this. You’ll need to point the knife toward its chest to sever the arteries. Except, there’s one thing: if we do it here on the ground, the blood will spill out into the grass, and it might draw other wild animals. That’s the last thing we want. Sooo… I’m going to need Aleia to get the cougar strung up in a tall tree in the woods first. Then you can bleed it.”
“Me?” the fairy gulped. “I-I need to bleed the big cat all by myself?”
“You can do it,” I encouraged her. “You’ll just carry the carcass up into a tall tree, string it up by its feet using cordage, and then cut its throat as Nicola and I were talking about.”
Even though the strawberry-blonde looked petite, fairies were apparently known for their incredible strength, which seemed counterintuitive, but it definitely came in handy.
And I always loved seeing Aleia’s powers shine.
“That does make a lot of sense,” Nicola admitted. “I would have enjoyed using my blade on the beast, but this will be easy, sister!”
“If you say so,” Aleia said and bit her lip. “Well, I want to get this over with!”
The fairy armed herself with her dagger and a long length of cordage from the living quarters, and after a long, dubious look at the cougar, the strawberry-blonde hoisted the beast under one arm and flew upward into the air.
“You’re doing great,” I encouraged Aleia.
“I need you to direct me,” the fairy said as her strawberry-blonde waves whipped backward in the breeze. “Can you help me pick a tree?”
“Of course,” I replied. “I think a good spot several yards beyond the tree line will be fine, so you can slow down a little.”
“Sorry,” Aleia giggled as she looked down at the trees. “I’m just ready to learn how to bleed an animal. If I’ve gotta do this, I may as well learn from it.”
“You have such a good attitude,” I responded. “I know this isn’t really your thing, but it’s good to know about preparing food. Anyway, stop and look to your right. Do you see that tall maple? That would be perfect.”
“Yes, my lord,” the strawberry-blonde priestess said with a nod. She slowed and turned her head to the right, and when she caught a glimpse of the tree I was talking about, she headed in that direction. The fairy selected a thick, strong branch about sixty feet off the ground, and then she began to string up the cougar by its back ankles using the strong fern cordage. “Am I doing it right?”
“Looks good to me,” I told Aleia. “You figure out everything so quickly.”
The fairy fluttered her lavender wings to stay afloat as she made easy work of tying up the beast, and then she stared at its neck with her knife in hand.
“I can do this,” the strawberry-blonde muttered, and then then she looked up and spoke loude
r. “Master, I heard what you and Nicola said earlier about how to cut the cougar’s neck. I don’t think I’ll have a problem.”
With a swift jab upward through the animal’s chest cavity with her sharp blade, Aleia released a fountain of deep crimson from the lion’s body, and the expression on her face was both slightly disgusted and proud. The fairy swiped her bloody dagger on a gauzy white strip of her robe to clean it before she put it back on her belt, and then she paused to flutter in place for a moment.
“That was perfect,” I praised the fairy. “The cougar will bleed out on its own now, and you can go back to your sisters and retrieve it in the morning.”
“Yes, master,” Aleia sighed in a somewhat relieved tone, and she began to swoop downward toward the ground. “It’s been a long night, and I am truly relieved this task is over.”
“Aleia did a wonderful job,” I told the other priestesses as the fairy landed. “She’ll need to get the carcass tomorrow, and you’ll definitely want to butcher it in the morning, Nicola. And then you’ll have a lot of meat to handle.”
“I can’t wait,” the brunette said as she rubbed her hands together.
“Nicola, you have such a lust for blood,” Aleia laughed. “You really love to kill animals.”
“I do love to hunt,” Nicola admitted. “But I love animals for other reasons, too. I would love to have chickens and be able to collect eggs, and a cow for milk, and a horse… a horse would be a dream for me.”
“That would be nice,” Penelope said, but her voice sounded strange all of the sudden. “A horse…”
Suddenly, the naiad stumbled backward. Nicola leapt out to catch her, but the brunette wasn’t quite close enough, and the normally-graceful blue woman landed on her ass in the dirt.
“Penelope!” Aleia cried out. “Are you alright?”
“I-I feel really dizzy all of a sudden,” the naiad murmured as she put her head in her hands.
Then Penelope pitched over to the side, and I watched in horror as her head approached the ground.
Chapter 2
Penelope put her hands down to brace herself just in time, and I sighed with relief as she leaned back on her arms and closed her eyes.
Both Nicola and Aleia knelt down next to Penelope and put their arms around the naiad, and the blue woman leaned into the fairy’s shoulder.
“What happened?” I asked. “Penelope, I’m worried about you.”
“I think I was just weak from the fight and being so frightened,” the naiad sighed. “I do want to lie down in my bed, though, if that’s alright with everyone. I’m very tired.”
“Okay…” Nicola responded with her brow furrowed in concern. “Penelope, this isn’t like you.”
“I know,” the blue woman murmured faintly. “Maybe I didn’t eat enough dinner.”
Penelope crawled the short distance to her bed, brushed off the reeds that had fallen on the bedding, and laid down, and then she pulled her favorite silk blanket over her head.
“That was strange,” Nicola said as she raised an eyebrow at Aleia.
“I know, I hope she’s alright,” the fairy sighed. “Well, if she’s gone to bed, I think I will, too. I think Penelope will be okay. She didn’t hit her head or anything.”
“I’m fine…” the naiad called out from under her quilt. “I can hear you, you know.”
“Sorry,” Aleia laughed. “We’re just worried about you, that’s all.”
Both Nicola and Aleia walked over to their bedding and laid down, and all three of the women fell quiet.
Then I heard a whisper, but it was so soft I couldn’t tell where it was coming from.
“My lord?” the voice said, and I realized it was Penelope.
“Penelope?” I asked. “Aren’t you supposed to be sleeping? Are you really okay?”
“I still need to see you in my dreams,” the naiad said in an urgent hiss. “I’m going to go to sleep now, and then I want to see your holy body.”
I couldn’t argue with that.
“Okay, sounds good to me,” I responded. The cougar incident had gotten me shaken up, but a request from Penelope still made me pretty damn happy.
The blue woman started to breathe in a deeper and heavier rhythm, but I waited about five minutes before I began to focus on entering her dream.
I concentrated as hard as I could, and then a familiar bright light filled my eyes. When I came back to myself again, I was aware of every heightened sensation in my new body. I’d never felt the blood pumping through my veins so fiercely or the energy rippling through my muscles so strongly. Being a god made me huge and muscular, not that I was complaining, but Penelope was the best thing of all.
I could barely see her in the dwindling firelight, but the petite naiad laid back on her blankets with a suggestive smile on her wine-colored lips. Her golden waves were tangled around her face, and her eyes were softened into a sultry expression.
Whenever there were dream visits, the other priestesses disappeared from the room, unfortunately, but I was sure I would have my hands full already with the naiad.
Penelope patted the silk next to her, and I walked over and sat down on the blanket.
Then I adjusted the simple brown pants I always wore when I was in one of the women’s dream visits, crossed my legs, and smiled at the blue woman.
“Hi, Penelope,” I said as sexual energy crackled through the air like electricity. I wanted to touch the naiad so badly, but I held off for the moment.
“Hi, master,” the blue woman murmured, and then she pushed herself up to a sitting position.
“How are you?” I asked. “I was a little worried about you earlier.”
“I’m okay,” Penelope said softly, but then she looked up at me with wide, pale blue eyes. “Jack, there’s something I need to talk to you about.”
The naiad pushed herself to a sitting position and crossed her legs so the two of us mirrored one another. Then she reached out, grabbed both my hands in her own, and began to stroke my palms with her thumbs.
“What is it?” I whispered, but I thought I already knew.
“My lord…” Penelope trailed off and looked down at the ground, and when she looked up again, I saw she was blinking back tears. “My lord, I had another vision. Remember how I told you before about the tiny blue baby?”
“Yes…” I said as I reached out to cup her face in my palm. “Yes, I remember, Penelope.”
“Well, this time it’s different,” the naiad explained. “This time, I can feel the baby inside of me. I can feel her energy radiating from my womb.”
“Her?” I asked. “Wait a minute. So, you think you’re pregnant, and that it’s a girl?”
“No, master,” Penelope said as she looked directly into my eyes. “I know I’m pregnant, and I know it’s a girl. I realize you must think I’m crazy, because from what I understand of most women, they have no sense of these things for quite some time. But perhaps naiads are different… or maybe it is because it is your divine child. I’m not sure of course, since I know very little about my naiad heritage, so I could be wrong--”
“Penelope, I believe you,” I interrupted the blue woman. I obviously couldn’t tell her about the pop-up on my display, but I was definitely convinced she knew what she was talking about. “This is so… amazing. You’re going to have a baby!”
“We’re going to have a baby,” Penelope said with a shy smile on her lips. “You’re going to be a father.”
I flashed back to my old life for a moment and thought about how the previous Jack would have absolutely flipped out at this news, and not in a good way. But that Jack hadn’t met the most beautiful women he’d ever seen, or been worshipped by them, or fallen in love with them.
“Wow,” I breathed, and I reached down to gently stroke her flat cerulean belly. “Penelope. I love you so much.”
“I love you too, master.” The blue woman leaned toward me, grabbed me by the back of the neck, and pulled me in for a kiss.
For a few long
moments, our lips met softly and gently, but then her mouth opened, and I touched the tip of her tongue with my own. Our tongues encircled one another’s for a moment before she bit me gently on the lip and pulled away.
“Whaaat?” I groaned. “Why did you stop? You’re okay to do this, right?”
“Yes, I’m fine,” the naiad laughed. “I suppose I just want to make sure you’re happy about everything.”
“Penelope, I’m ecstatic,” I responded. “Truly, truly overjoyed.”
“This baby will be a deity,” Penelope gasped. “Just like you. Well, she will be a half-deity, anyway.”
“Yeah, I don’t really know how that works,” I confessed as I scratched my head. “This will be my first… god baby…?
“And it’s with me…” the naiad breathed, and her eyes widened with awe. “I’m the first to have a baby with you, my lord.”
“Well, of course, you were the first woman I was ever with as a god, after all,” I told the blue woman before I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her in for another kiss.
Our tongues met almost immediately this time as I squeezed the naiad’s slight body tighter and tighter. Then my hand went to her breast, and I could feel her heart starting to beat faster and faster under my palm.
I felt a rush of blood and heat to my cock as it started to throb in my pants, and as I swirled my tongue around the inside of Penelope’s mouth, I started to imagine doing the same thing to her pussy.
“Ohhh…” Penelope moaned as she uncrossed her legs and wrapped them around my lap until she was straddling me.
“I suppose I have to be gentle with you,” I whispered during a pause in our kissing. “Definitely gentler than I wanted to be, anyway…”
“What did you want to do to me?” Penelope murmured. “I want to know.”
“I wanted to fuck you all over this room,” I told her honestly, and then I bit her ear. “I wanted to show you how I’m the best god in the whole universe.”
“I already know that,” the naiad breathed into my ear, which sent a wave of shivers down my spine. “You’re the best god… no, you’re the only god, as far as I’m concerned.”
